Specialty & Approach

*Accepting New Clients for Child & Family Therapy (Ages 4 & Up)

Parenting is the hardest job there is and everyone could use some support from time to time. You know your child better than anyone else and are an expert in their lived experiences. I focus on strengthening the child-caregiver relationship by helping you better understand your child’s needs, navigate challenges, and make improvements in daily life.

I have spent the last 8 years dedicated to clinical work with children and families, following a decade of working in preschools and serving as a nanny. I earned my master’s degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago in 2013 and my master’s degree in Child Development from Erikson Institute in 2012. Before relocating to Michigan, I worked as a psychotherapist at several non-profit agencies in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. My specialized background in social work and child development provides me with a deep understanding of the needs of individuals and how they change throughout the lifespan, especially the impact of early life experiences.

I use a strength-based and psychodynamic approach to therapy and incorporate CBT and mindfulness interventions into my work to meet client’s individual needs. I value the importance of developing a strong therapeutic alliance and working collaboratively with my clients. I have expertise working with clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, adjustment problems, behavioral concerns, life transitions, and social difficulties. Whether in person or virtually, I use creative interventions to keep child clients engaged.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to inquire about therapy services. We can talk about what you’re looking for and whether I might be a good fit for you and your family. I look forward to hearing from you.
